Golf, tennis, swimming, and fitness enthusiasts make frequent use of the outstanding
facilities at the Country Club of Landfall located in Wilmington N.C.
We enjoy two championship golf courses designed by golf legends Pete Dye and Jack
Nicklaus. Each has its own clubhouse and pro shop with extensive practice areas that
include a driving range, sand bunkers, and putting and chipping greens. The Dye
Course has hosted the NCAA Women's Collegiate Championship, and each fall the 27-hole
Nicklaus Course hosts the Landfall Tradition, a three day tournament featuring 24 of
the nation's top men's and women's college teams.
Our tennis/sports complex was designed by tennis legend Cliff Drysdale. It contains
14 multi-surfaced tennis courts, an Olympic size swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art
fitness complex. Tennis players can choose to play, day or night, on three grass, nine
Har-Tru with sub-surface watering, or two hard surface courts. The tennis center has a
fully stocked pro shop offering tennis, fitness, and swimming apparel and accessories
and provides on- site stringing. This year we were pleased to host the first annual
CCL/UNCW Tennis Invitational featuring top college teams from across the Southeast.
The Fitness Center includes a weight training room, an aerobics room, and a massage
therapy room with men's and women's locker rooms and saunas. The weight room has a full
range of cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, recumbent and upright bicycles,
stair steppers, and ellipticals, plus a variety of Cybex machines and free weights.
The 8 lane Olympic pool is surrounded by a toddler pool, snack bar, beach volleyball
court, and a large deck area for lounging and frequent summer poolside social events.
